If the prayer isn't answered with a yes, we automatically assume it to be a no. But that isn't always the case, at times, the answer is to wait. And waiting in any shape or form is a trying experience. Sometimes, what we ask for is good for us but we are not ready for it at this point in time. Sometimes, what we ask for isn't ready for us at this point in time. It could be a whole deal of anything that most people don't even understand, and yet assume is what they think it to be.
Prayer is a whole lot more than just us talking to God and asking for things. It's an opportunity to place ourselves before Him, to willingly reveal to Him the contents of our hearts that He already knows. And in the same way, He uses our willingness to reveal to us that which He will work on next. And patience is often on that list of things to do. I know I dislike waiting, but if I am told to wait, then I shall wait for as long as I can.
